ANY COOK BOOK SUGGESTIONS FOR A BEGINNER IN COOKING?

I'm a new mom and now a stay at home mom too. I want to be able to cook meals for my family that aren't from a box or frozen or anything like that, but I don't want to get overwhelmed at first either. So far the only recipes I've found involve ingredients I've never even heard of! So I'd really like some cook book (or even just recipes you know) suggestions for a beginner in cooking. Thanks! DOES ANYONE KNOW A SIMPLE,EASY AND GOOD HOW TO COOK BOOK WITH PICTURES?

MAKE A COOKBOOK

Most families have at least a handful of favorite recipes that have been passed down from one generation of cooks to the next. Many times, in families where cooking is more than just a necessary chore, these recipes are gathered together by one devoted family member into some type of informal collection.
