ANY COOK BOOK SUGGESTIONS FOR A BEGINNER IN COOKING?

I'm a new mom and now a stay at home mom too. I want to be able to cook meals for my family that aren't from a box or frozen or anything like that, but I don't want to get overwhelmed at first either. So far the only recipes I've found involve ingredients I've never even heard of! So I'd really like some cook book (or even just recipes you know) suggestions for a beginner in cooking. Thanks!
